Awards are public recognition of excellence. Over the years, Regence has consistently earned honors and awards that demonstrate our innovation and excellence not only in health care, but in our communities.

A.M. Best reaffirms "Excellent" financial rating
Regence is financially strong and well positioned to meet members' needs, according to ratings issued by A.M. Best, a well-known financial rating agency. A financial strength rating opinion addresses the relative ability of an insurer to meet its ongoing insurance obligations.

Best of Blue Marketing and Communications Award, BCBSA
Regence received the Best of Blue Marketing and Communications Award in the area of Consumer Marketing for our Transparency Marketing campaign. The Transparency Marketing campaign was designed to promote better informed health care consumers by driving awareness and usage of the transparency tools on myRegence.com. These include the treatment cost estimator, provider reviews and enhanced provider profiles.

Honorable Mention, 2010 Best of Blue award
Regence won an Honorable Mention in the 2010 Best of Blue award program in the Community and Public Relations category for the 2009 Employee Giving Campaign, in which two thirds of our employees joined together to pledge $1.26 million to help our communities. This is the second year in a row for this campaign to be distinguished with a Best of Blue designation. A second Honorable Mention came in the national PR News Corporate Social Responsibility Awards program, in the Employee Relations Category. The Regence's 2009 Giving Campaign was one of only six national finalists.

2010 Best of Blues Clinical Distinction Award
The RegenceRx team was honored with the 2010 Best of Blues Clinical Distinction Award for their work in identifying and supporting members who would best benefit from bariatric surgery.

2nd Place, Integrated Marketing Campaign, MAX Award
Regence received an American Marketing Association Marketing Award for Excellence (MAX) for its integrated transparency marketing campaign. The campaign was designed to drive members to the transparency tools—including the treatment cost estimator, enhanced provider profiles and member reviews—on myRegence.com. Regence was awarded 2nd place in the Integrated Marketing Campaign–Business to Consumer category.

Bronze and Merit Awards, 2010 National Health Information Awards
myRegence.com won two awards from the 2010 National Health Information Awards, a program that honors high-quality consumer health information. The myRegence.com HealthyLife booklet won a Bronze Award, and the myRegence.com Recipe Cards won a Merit Award.

Platinum PR Award, PR News
WhatstheRealCost.org took home a Platinum Award from the publication PR News in the "Website Marketing" category. It beat runners up H&R Block and Kim Kardashian, among others.

2010 video and website awards, W3 Awards, International Academy of the Visual Arts
The myRegence.com site was recognized by W3 Awards with a Gold Award and three Silver Awards in the Web Video category. The site also received a Silver Award in the Website: Insurance category. W3 Awards honors creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing programs. Websites are judged on creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design, and ease of use. Web videos are judged on content, technical execution, implementation, and overall experience. People's Voice Winner, Webby Awards
The Webby Awards named Regence's website, WhatsTheRealCost.org, a 2010 "People's Voice" winner in the "Rich Media, B-to-C category." The site stood out among the nearly 10,000 entries received from more than 60 countries and 50 states.

Gold medal, Wellness Councils of America
Wellness Councils of America (WELCOA) bestowed a gold "Well Workplace" honor for our employee wellness program, honoring the quality and excellence of our worksite health promotion programs. WELCOA is recognized as one of the most respected resources for workplace wellness in America.

2010 Leadership Awards, eHealthcare Strategy & Trends
The myRegence.com site was recognized with a platinum award for Best Overall Internet Site; a gold award for Best Healthcare Content, Best Interactive, and Best Design, and a silver award for Best eBusiness Site, for a total of five awards at the 14th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference. 2010 Bicycle Friendly Business—Bronze-level award, League of American Bicyclists
The Bicycle Friendly Business program recognizes employers' efforts to encourage a more bicycle friendly atmosphere for employees and customers. The program and honors innovative bike-friendly efforts, such as Regence's dedicated bike commuter intranet site, incentives and peer support. Learn more about Bicycle Friendly Business.

2010 Outstanding Achievement Award, American Web Design
The myRegence.com Wellness Wire Newsletter was recognized in this national competition highlighting visual design and aesthetics in a well-designed site intended to attract audiences, communicate information, and generate engagement and response. Honorable Mention, Idaho Business Review
in recognition of its invaluable contributions in the health care field within Idaho, WhatsTheRealCost.org was named Honorable Mention in the "Community Outreach" category by the Idaho Business Review Idaho Health Care Heroes Awards.

Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon

Ranked First, Healthiest Employers, Portland Business Journal
Portland Business Journal-sponsored "Healthiest Employers" ranked Regence at the top of the state-wide list. This ranking recognizes companies that made a commitment to proactively shape the health of their employees and impact their bottom line. The ranking measures wellness leadership in six categories, including culture and leadership commitment, intervention, communication, planning and analysis.

Ranked Seventh, Corporate Philanthropy, Portland Business Journal
Regence was ranked 7th among top corporate philanthropists—ranked in order of dollars invested in the community from 2009 to 2010—in Portland Business Journal's 2010 Corporate Philanthropy Awards competition.

Platinum Healthy Worksite Award, Utah Council for Worksite Health Promotion
Our wellness program earned a Platinum Health Worksite Award from the Utah Council for Worksite Health Promotion. This is the premiere award in Utah, recognizing the outstanding achievements of businesses and organizations in implementing employee health promotion and wellness programs. It acknowledges efforts to facilitate and encourage employee health, enhance productivity, and ensure healthy work environments.

Regence BlueShield (in Washington)

Golden Apple Award, Washington's 2010 Healthy Worksite Summit
Regence's workplace wellness programs made it one of only two organizations to receive this award. An organization must meet six criteria to receive the award, which is offered through a collaborative effort of several national and state health organizations.

Asuris Northwest Health

Partners In Progress Award, The American Cancer Society (Inland Northwest Chapter)
For the second year in a row, Asuris Northwest Health has won the Partners in Progress award from the American Red Cross Inland Northwest Chapter. The award recognizes an organization providing financial support and leadership. Employee volunteer support for comfort kits for disaster victims and military veterans helped win the distinction.
