
Jennifer Danielson
President, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah
Jennifer leads strategy and execution for the Utah plan consistent with company's direction. Responsible for directing and guiding statewide operations and market performance while representing and promoting Regence in business and civic arenas throughout the state.
Jennifer was named to this position in 2012. Starting as a staff attorney with Regence in 1997, Jennifer has served as associate general counsel and assistant vice president for legislative and regulatory affairs. She has directed public policy and health information for all Regence markets, and was named Utah vice president in 2010.
Before joining Regence, she worked for the U.S. Public Health Service, the Utah Department of Health and the Utah Attorney General's Office Health Division.
A frequent health insurance industry speaker and guest lecturer, Jennifer is also very active in the community. She serves on the Salt Lake Chamber Board of Governors, on the Economic Development Corporation of Utah's Board of Trustees, as secretary/treasurer of the University of Utah Hospital Foundation, as a member of the Utah Foundation board of trustees, and as the Chair of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign.
Jennifer earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a law degree from the University of Utah. She also has completed the Cambridge University International Programme.
