We’re excited to announce highlights of our midsize (51-100) and large (101+) group product and benefits updates for 2025. To keep up with the continually changing needs of your business and employees, we’re delivering an enhanced Regence experience. Our updates emphasize innovative health plan options to fit your specific needs, including digital health solutions to improve employee health, local expertise with national reach and award-winning customer service from right here at home.
Here are some of the highlights for plans effective Jan. 1, 2025.
- Embedded virtual muscle & joint support: Coming Jan. 1, 2025, help your employees improve functionality and reduce pain in joints, spine and muscles. The personalized virtual exercise program supports active lifestyles and reduces costs. Based on health conditions, they may have access to a customized care plan, including guided exercise therapy, one-on-one video coaching with a care team, curated health education and behavior-change support. (Excluded on BolsterCare, CareVia products and non-marketed products.)
Cardiometabolic support buy-up: This solution features online behavioral health counseling programs for diabetes prevention, diabetes management and hypertension to help at-risk individuals combat obesity-related chronic disease, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and hypertension (quoting rules apply).
- Diabetes prevention: Helps employees make modest health changes that can lead to weight loss and reduce the risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
- Diabetes management: Helps employees manage diabetes and reduce the risk of severe chronic disease.
- Hypertension: Helps employees manage hypertension and reduce the risk of severe chronic disease
- Embedded EAP sessions for 51-100 groups: Employer groups with 51-100 employees receive embedded access to four sessions per incident. Employer groups of 101+ and self-funded continue to have the option to buy up to four, six or eight sessions. Groups now have the option to buy up to six or eight sessions with no member cost-share. (Excludes Regence CareVia™ and non-marketed products. EAP services are provided by ComPsych®.)
- Well-being program enhancements: Employees and their spouses/domestic partners can continue to earn up to $100 through Regence Empower® when they get certain preventive care screenings and exams. Additional activities have been added to improve member engagement.
- Dental4Health: Eligible employees (those diagnosed with any of nine conditions) on one of our dental plans will receive additional benefits that have been shown to help improve overall health. These benefits are provided at no extra cost, and services don’t count toward the annual maximum. Through our enhanced medical-dental integration, employees are automatically enrolled into this program.
- Vision updates—LightCare benefit: Through our new LightCare program, members without a prescription are encouraged to visit their VSP doctor for an eye exam and use their vision benefit to obtain a pair of nonprescription, ready-made sunglasses or non-prescription blue light filtering glasses designed to protect eyes from harmful blue light rays. This benefit is embedded for fully insured groups and available as a buy-up for ASO groups.
