We’re adding joint site-of-care (SOC) redirection to the Physical Medicine program effective June 1, 2023. Joint SOC redirection ensures joint procedures are performed at ambulatory surgery centers when there’s no clinical need for them to be done in a hospital setting. This helps make care more affordable.

The Physical Medicine program is embedded in all commercial fully insured group, Individual and Medicare Advantage plans and is available as a buy-up to ASO groups. This enhancement will have no impact on groups’ or members’ 2023 pricing.
